I read product comments looking for a soft white queen fitted sheet and purchased this product based on reviews. It's probably the worst sheet I've ever owned and it's destined for the rag bag. It's noisy and not the least bit soft. After washing it and using it once, I tossed it in the washing machine and re-washed it multiple times hoping for an improvement. Some fabrics do soften after repeated washes. Not this one - it was marginally better, but still unacceptable. Don't waste your money! I went to a large bargain store and got a great sheet at a fraction of the cost.

I really wanted to like these pinpoint sheets, because I'm tired of trying to find affordable cotton sheets that feel nice like they used to feel...a whole 5 years ago. I don't know what's happened to the sheet industry, but it's impossible to find a smooth, soft percale sheet anymore. The good: the Dresden blue color is very pretty and bright and does not fade in the wash. These are durable sheets and have not pilled nor will they. They are smooth. they are not paper-thin. The bad: I've washed these 5 times using salt, baking soda, vinegar, and finally resorted to fabric softener and still they are NOT SOFT! They CRACKLE. When you toss the flat sheet over the bed to spread it out, it sounds like you are rattling paper. When you lie on them, they crackle. I understand a non-sateen sheet is more crisp, but this is a noisy and crispy sheet. The fitted sheet barely fits my 14 inch pillow top mattress, so if you have a really deep mattress, forget it. I have a set of Wamsutta percale pillow cases that I use very rarely as I accidentally bought the wrong size about 5 years ago - and they do not feel like these sheets. They are smooth and soft and feel like percale is supposed to feel. I have other Wamsutta sheets that I bought years ago, and they do not feel like this. Also, the label on these sheets does not specify they are 100% Egyptian cotton like it does on the package; it just says 100% cotton, made in Pakistan. The old Wamsutta sheets and pillowcases I have say 100% Egyptian cotton, made in USA. I guess I have to keep looking for good sheets.

Theses sheets get better with a few washes, but they are so soft and comfortable. I love them. The colour is just beautiful, too. I'm very picky when it comes to reds. This one was love!

This sheet is not as soft as is described, although it is not quite abrasive. The elastic is not nearly tight enough, so the fit is loose. Only friction between the sheet and mattress cover keep the sheet pretty much in place. The corners are mitered at an odd angle which makes the sheet tricky to place. I don't know how the fabric wears, since I've had the sheet only a couple of months. I wish I'd have spent the money on a more expensive sheet. I don't want this brand again.

If you haven't had black sheets before, be careful because they show every mark...the opposite of what you would think. These are soft and have maintained their color, but they tend to run big so they are loose on our twin mattresses.
